These are thoughtful, carefully considered performances of Satie’s music, unlike any others presently on disc, in my opinion. They may seem a little quirky when compared to the well-established recorded versions of Satie’s piano music by pianists such as Aldo Ciccolini, for example, but Satie WAS quirky and unique.
