Triple bill of early 2000s blockbusters. In 'Phone Booth' (2003), philandering publicist Stuart Sheppard (Colin Farrell) answers a ringing public phone on a New York street, little knowing that he is about to put his life on the line. A voice on the other end of the phone tells him that if he hangs up he will be shot on the spot, and although Stu first thinks the caller is joking, the red dot of a laser-sighted rifle convinces him otherwise. Soon the moralistic caller has Stu confessing all his sins in a desperate bid to save his life. 'The Day After Tomorrow' (2004) is a mega-budget, special-effects packed action adventure sci-fi epic directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, Stargate), in which global warming and the greenhouse effect have given rise to abrupt climate change - with cataclysmic consequences for the entire planet.
