Camcorder condition is very good and the Camcorder turns on and all buttons work as it zooms in and out all OK but I am unable to fully test as I don’t have a tape and the same also goes for the remote. I have put batteries in remote to test and could see the light when looking at the end with a camera so very confident that it is working as well. So hopefully that helps on your decision to buy this very good example of a +30 year old vintage camcorder
