Antique Japanese Satsuma Koro Censer with Foo Dogs, Meiji/Taisho c.1900–1930

The palette includes traditional Satsuma colours: soft ochre, iron red, gold, turquoise and cream, all enhanced by a fine, even crackle glaze characteristic of early 20th-century Satsuma ware. The piece features two side Shishi (foo dog) handles and a lid topped with a large Shishi holding a decorated ball — a classic symbol of protection and good fortune.
