Everything worked fine when I last used it but now the mechanism is faulty and I am unable to put it right. I will supply replacement drive bands with the sale. The Porta One has produced over 200 multi-track song compositions for me but I hadn’t used it for six months. The cassette drive is not working … I opened the casing but it looked too daunting for me to meddle with. I tried replacing the drive bands but, again, was unsuccessful. At one point, the ‘wheels’ turned and I was able to fast forward/back but not to ‘play’. The machine is clean and comes with manufacturer power plug. I shall look for its original instruction book.
