A nineteenth century, French copper lid with a steel handle. This is engraved with the letters “M.B” which would be the initials of a previous owner, and the number ’18’ which relates to the size. (It’s actually 17.5cm) Lovely copper rivets. Approx 517g in weight It is made from quite a heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1880. Superb example. See photos. Been used as decoration only.
