Cribbage has been around since the 1600s. Poet Sir John Suckling of England first popularized it and described the rules of cribbage in roughly their modern form. However, in the last few centuries the traditional board has been indelibly associated with Cribbage, and customized boards like the '29' have been developed especially for it.
