You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.\n\nThis is a truly lovely vintage pattern for a three soft toy animals (polar bear, panda and teddy) as well as two glove puppets (kitten and rabbit). Originally, all toys were knitted in either Twilley's Flexette* or Bubbly**, but sadly now this yarn has long since been discontinued, so you could try a modern fancy yarn such as Poodle wool, however, do note that both the Flexette and Bubbly yarns were used double throughout, so do the same with your chosen modern alternative. Don't forget also to work a tension square before embarking on your chosen project to see if a change of needles is needed to obtain the tension stipulated in the pattern. A super gift for animal lovers or a treat for yourself or child; but if knitting the kitten puppet for a child you may wish to substitute the pipe cleaners whiskers for embroidered whiskers or a more modern child friendly alternativ.
