The modelling is accurate and right up to date, but users can enjoy a trip back in time thanks to the inclusion of the Locomotion National Rail Museum at Shildon, where they can step down from their modern Class 166 or 153 and climb aboard any one of the historic models in the museum collection. Numerous new assets have been specially created for the route, including buildings, bridges, signage and other items throughout the stations. Darlington station features shops, turnstiles, seating areas, ticket office, information displays and much more. The Locomotion National Rail Museum at Shildon is fully modelled – users can drive any of the steam or diesel locomotives in the collection.Exceptional night lighting effects along the whole route add realism to night time operations. Custom scenarios feature passenger services, freight operations and steam excursions in various weather conditions and at different times of the day.
