The good news - powers up, CD tray mechanism opens and closes as expected, and when a CD is inserted in the tray it tries to read it. The bad news - it fails to read it and the Error function light flashes, so presumably an issue with reading the disc. Hopefully a simple fix for someone with time / skill / knowledge! Otherwise nice condition. Sold as spares and repairs.
