it was working till it was sent away now the cd side doesn't open it was reading discs fine the cdr will read a blank disk but not a normal one the record function does work unit and remote only does have a few marks on the top please note the record function will only take cdrs that have the music written on them any questions please ask

There is also a noice that sounds like the plastic gear area not aligned. I have opened the case and found a small gear has a slight split which is causing this noise. The right CD drawer opens fine and the CD reads on both drawers (see pictures).
