This translucent Cobre New Slate Veneer sheet has a 100% natural stone face specially manufactured with a fibre glass and transparent resin backing to make it flexible, light weight and easy to install. This is one of our most popular red / copper slate finish. It has a red base colour with a high shine and textured finish. There is veining and direction in the top surface finish which gives it an amazing aesthetic. Our slate veneer translucent sheets are installed by adhering the sheets to a sheet of transparent acrylic or Perspex. Our slate veneers are fixed to the Perspex using a transparent MS polymer adhesive such as Soudal crystal clear. The sheets can then be back lit using LED light sheets or a similar light source. They are regularly used for bar and counter cladding, feature walls, signage and lighting features. We sell the adhesive, adhesive spreader tool, tile backer boards, sealers and cleaners to use with this product. Our Quartz-Sand veneer is a reconstituted stone veneer manufactured in Italy from crushed Italian marble dust. Black Wave boasts a beautiful undulating pattern in classic monochrome. The contrasting tones subtly transform when illuminated. The natural stone top surface is backed with a fabric mesh backing making the sheets light weight, flexible and easy to process. The material is translucent and can be back lit so the same sheets can be used for both back lighting and non back lighting projects. The top surface is a soft semi-smooth finish giving a subtle and tactile natural feel. The sheets are easy to process and can be cut with a Stanley knife/blade. Be careful to use the correct adhesive and apply the adhesive correctly to avoid being able to see the adhesive behind the sheets. For adhering the sheets in back lighting projects you can use our Lite stone adhesive for translucent stone veneer. For non back lighting projects you can use our Lite Stone slate & stone veneer adhesive, this adhesive must be spread with a spreader tool. You can also use tile adhesive or contact adhesive with the sheets, depending on the application. In all cases the sheets should be sealed to protect them from staining and settle the quartz-sand top surface. You can order our Stain stop product for this.
