Cast iron and brass fire basket. Raised back in the form of a sunburst, 2 large cast brass finials at the front and a ribbed open section. The shaped front of the basket has bell drops on the facing with further foliage casting beneath. The front legs are scrolled, finished with e- scrolls with a slight black beneath them. Heavy item, collection only, Bristol/Bath area, BS31 (Reason for sale - have switched to wood-burning stove)

Very nice well made fire Grate. We had this in our 16 inch fire place and we loved it. The fire dogs sit just outside the fire place on the harth. There's no damage to it at all and the cast iron backing has no cracks. The basket and dogs/legs are made from steel. It draws very well and looks really nice when lit. The first 2 picture are from when we bought it and the others are from now and the paint has burnt off. We only replaced it becuse of fitting a log burner. Any questions just ask. I can post this if needed but would prefer collection. If you want it posted then contact me for a price.
