Silver Ornate Teapot By Samuel Haynes & Dudley Carter, London 1847 - 984g. This impressive teapot stands 26cm tall, is 27.5cm handle to spout and 17cm across the body. It’s in perfect condition for its age with immaculate floral decoration around the body, spout and handle. Sitting atop the teapot is a well detailed pheasant to act as the finial for the lid. The only things to mention is the slight discolouration to the interior due to use, some slight cracking to the white material at either end of the handle (as can be expected with all teapots of this age), and the engraving on the front panel (as seen in images). A cutting of the engraving reads “Presented to Monson Hills Esq.”
