I have included a few photos taken with this lens, at each end of the zoom. Currently the fungus/dust appears not to affect picture quality significantly. Outer lens surfaces have no scratches. Lens barrel has no scratches.

This lens works, and produces very good image quality. The noise is a fairly faint kind of see-saw, left-to-right kind of pitched noise, which lasts 3 or 4 cycles of going one way and then the other, before shutting off.
