The viewing window will be slightly smaller than the size given, approx 4mm of your picture will be covered on each side, this is to hold everything in place.

Styrene (Perspex) is a nice plastic safety sheet with protective film on both sides. that may give appearance of scratches but one's protective film will be removed and you'll find clear like Glass.
