RS 232 connections also allow for integration into pre installed control systems. In addition, PoC (Power over Cable) functionality provides additional flexibility. This allows power to be supplied alongside data through Cat.6 network cable in a point to point connection between the transmitter and receiver, meaning only a single power supply is required at the transmitter or receiver unit.
