In 1945, the US Army Air Force made the jacket, Aircrew, Heavy and Type N-3, the first of a long successful N3 style parka. The N-3B was created in 1958 from the N-3 jacket and was specially produced for the Air Force members who were active in particularly cold weather conditions. The N-3B Parka has a single-row button strip, 4 pockets and impresses with its ¾ length and with its nylon-grown Ober fabric in the typical saga green. The padding consists of a wool-floral fabric and the inner lining is lined with nylon. The integrated hood is occupied with a fur and lined with Mouton. The hood slowly changed from the original wolf and Bieberpelz, to coyototic fur and finally to a synthetic fur.
