This is a very rare piece. You can look all over the internet and not find another like this Hand sewn star from 1921 and has been professionally machine quilted into a newer satin quilt. Comes from a smoke free home and in very nice condition Check all the pictures to make sure you’re happy with it. It does have 2 spots that the quilting on the star has come up a little bit. Beautiful woven jacquard coverlet, identified in corner panels as "BENJA. The jacquard loom enabled weavers like Kiehl to produce highly detailed patterns, with their credentials woven into them. On larger coverlets, like this one, a central stitched seam was necessary to accomodate the larger piece.

This coverlet has several worn and frayed spots throughout. I did not take pictures of every hole or stain but I took pictures of the majority of them. The blanket is handmade and has been cared for, making it a unique addition to any collection.
