A wonderful amphora/ vessel from the 19th century, originally used for water or wine. Believed to be from the eastern Mediterranean, the handle, neck and form signify Egyptian heritage, although research shows it may be from an Albanian gentry. With a gorgeous glaze over clay, with striped browns and fabulous dripped colour and patina, this is a great rustic piece for interior decoration in good antique condition. 47cm tall
