    This is an incredible Antique Edison Magneto Bell or Early Telephone Receiver bell designed By Thomas Edison! Harvard University recognizes this piece in their Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments (please see info in pics) as one of the earliest modern telephone receivers. This amazing piece features a wooden wall mount with steel bell and hammer which is attached to the box-covered magneto, a series of electric coils which powered the bell to ring with an incoming call. This piece dates back to about 1878 and appears to be in excellent condition. Measures approximately 6.5” x 3” x 1.7” Excellent piece of telephone history!
