This is a first Dutch edition. The work also appeared in French in 1709, 1718 and 1767 and was even reworked in Japanese. This work covers all aspects of managing a country estate. Artists and Engravers: The author of this work is Noel Chomel (1633-1712) is a famous French agriculturist and encyclopedia maker, much insprired by the Enlightment period in history. In this Dutch edition the plates are engraved by Frans de Bakker (active from 1736–1765).
