This is a beautiful VICTORIAN ANTIQUE CAST IRON LETTER BOX In my estimation it dates from around the late 19th Century, circa 1900, but please make up your own mind about this. The letter box measures approx 3 inches (75mm) tall, by 7 1/4 inches (185mm) wide, and is made from cast iron throughout. The letter slot measures approx 1 3/8 inches (35mm) tall, by 5 inches (125mm) wide. It is made to a beautiful design, with the word LETTERS on the flap. It is in good, vintage condition, with no damage or repairs. The fixing bolts are (155mm) apart, centre to centre. This is a heavily built, well made example of its type and it would grace any front door. Please see the photos for condition and type. Weight approx 400 grams. Shipping and packaging are at cost, with no profit.
