The main body is chromium plated. The shade consists of three part resulting on an Art Deco design. It has a chain pull on / off switch. The base has a slight pitted effect and one tiny spot mark on the shade but certainly nothing to detract.

A really stunning Deco carved elephant lamp base I believe is walnut (Heavy wood). It is really tactile and has an extremely polished smooth finish which highlights the grain of the wood. As pictured a really unique statement piece. The hole is there and could be turned back in to a functional lamp but looks good as is. The tusks are missing (a little bit remains in one side as pictured). I believe the eyes and toenails are a manmade material but I'm not an expert could be bone or similar.
