For sale is an amazing figurine of a monk made by Nymphenburg in the beginning of the 20th century. I have owned the colored version a few times and it is one of my favorites but this one here is the blanc de Chine version left in the white to show off all that amazing modeling that Bustelli did on his figures in the 18th century . He was amazing! The monk is bowing down with one hand on his head and the other by his side. The figure is amazingly modeled as Bustelli is still considered the greatest modeler of all time. The monk is wearing a flowing outfit with lots of details. Simple yet full of movement and elegance. No other artist even came close to Bustelli! Truly a superb figurine! It is 5.75 inches tall, 2.625 inches wide and 3.625 inches deep. He is in perfect condition! The piece.
