  8. Stanley No. 4C Bailey Corrugated Bottom Bench Plane Type 9 1902–1907

    Antique Stanley No. 4C Bailey bench plane with corrugated sole. Bed marked with patent dates MAR-25-02 and AUG-19-02, identifying it as Type 9 production (1902–1907). Body casting marked BAILEY behind the front knob. Corrugated sole with lengthwise grooves. Frog has ribbed underside and the bed has machined grooves typical of this early type. Cutting iron marked STANLEY. Wood front knob and rear tote installed. Sole and sides show normal wear from use. Corrugations visible and intact. See photos for details. Condition: Used antique condition. Wear, oxidation, and surface marks from age and use. Wood tote and knob show wear. Tote is cracked at bottom. Mechanisms move but tool has not been tested for cutting performance. Sold as shown.
