The intricate pieces reflect the artisan’s many hours dedicated to carving this chess set from bone. The jet-black dark pieces are stained black, and the light pieces feature a coloration that naturally occurs with aging bone. The interior of the storage box is double sided with one side for each of the color. Pieces store in individual spaces. There is 1 small light scratch (1.5 inch) on the box on the white side in the upper left corner. In the box the set weighs in at 8.3 lbs. The kings measure 7.5 inches tall.
