The sixth new fragrance to be presented, speaks synaesthetically of the trumpet register, belonging to the reed family, one of the oldest organ registers. The first documented attestation of this register is found in a large organ from the 1st century BC, located in an arena for gladiators. The reed registers make their sound thanks to the vibration of a tongue (the reed) on two walls. Characterized by a particularly metallic and “scratching” sound just like real trumpets, they enrich and complete the instrument. The cap, like the previous extrait de musique, faithfully reproduces the tie rod of the registers of the Great Parisian Organ. Trompette 8 is enclosed like the previous ones inside a wooden box entirely hand-made, to recall the wooden case of the large sounding boards of pipe organs.
