This is a lovely model of a Dahlgren 1861 Cannon. This Model Set is made of metal and wood. Historically, cannons like this one were stolen back and forth between the Union and Confederacy. This impressive miniature features a brass tone metal cannon barrel set on a wooden base. The plastic wheels actually turn with metal rims, so this miniature can roll about just like an old cannon would. On the side of the cannon, there is a small label that reads Dahlgren 1861.
