Both cassette trays open and close. Cant say of sound works as i have nothing I can connect to the unit. Both sides appear to play a tape in both directions. NO further test attempted. Hard drives may have been removed, upgraded, or downgraded without my knowledge, and firmware updates may be required for multi-region functionality.
