Lovely Leblanc Bassett Horn, essential for playing Mozart’s Requiem, Gran Partita, operas and more. Serial number 10459. Pitched in F, keywork to low C. Modern concert pitch. There is a groove in the top joint, which doesn’t penetrate the bore and appears to be superficial. I’ve tried to show this in an image, and it doesn’t affect the playability. Pads are all sealing well. I’m having to part with this special instrument to find a house move, and with a heavy heart.

Leblanc serial numbers can be a bit squirrely, but 31XXX should put it right at 1969. Plating about 99% with little if any wear at all. Appears to have been overhauled in the past couple of years in a combination felt, cork and white leather pads, and all are in excellent condition and seal perfectly.
