This is a rare 1980 Chuck E Cheese WESTMINSTER, CO Token made of brass. Chuck E Cheese tokens with the city name are extremely rare and difficult to find. The tokens with city names were introduced as a promotional perk for new franchise owners. According to a 1979 franchise brochure, new owners would receive 5,000 complimentary tokens customized with their location and date, along with a die to produce additional tokens as needed. These tokens were considered collectible from the start. However, not all franchise locations between 1978 and 1983 received them. It is unknown how many 1980 Westminster tokens remain, but very few have reached eBay. Mercury Dime pictured is for size comparison only and is not included. Please see photos for condition details.
