This listing is for a vintage (1920's) Conn Bb/C silver plated coronet with original case and extras. Condition: untested; several dents and bends; missing silver plate on a few places; heavy tarnish buildup; some of the slides are stuck (didn't try hard to remove); one of the keys is "sticky"; the Bb/C switch is stuck; heavy wear to the case (see photos of actual item and condition). It measures 17" long (no mouthpiece) by 6.25" tall (top to bottom of keys) and is marked on the bell "MADE BY G.C. CONN ELKHART, IND. USA." It will need some work to be "playable," but is a rare piece that would make a great addition to any collection.

The cornet with the vertical tuning slide known as the 80A is a pretty common cornet. The 80A with the linkage started as early as 1914 down to 1940. It was a #2 bore as opposed to a # 2 1/2 bore. As I recall, the #2 bore is a. 468 and 2.5 bore was. 484 It was slightly longer as well as narrower.

This little 1976 Conn 16A Cornet has a monster sound to it. Great quality instrument. Great valve condition and compression, all tuning slides are easily workable for tuning, lacquer condition near mint. Has one tiny dent near the valve section pretty straight otherwise. Comes with a great looking vintage case, note holder, and unmarked but very good mouthpiece.
