This is a superb and very large map of England and Wales, in four parts, produced by Samuel Lewis in 1841. The map is presented in four sections, covering the North East, South East, North West, and South West of England, with large decorative title upper right in the North East section, and large engraved view of The General Post Office London upper left in the North West, the view by Griffiths after Allom. All four maps are mounted on linen with hand colouring, each measuring approximately 1060 by 900mm. It is in excellent clean condition with little age related markings with no tears or losses, please see detailed photos. The covers are bumped and worn as to be expected and the back cover to the N.E. division has separated from the spine. Please see full description on pc or laptop.
