The battery is new having recently been replaced since the original one was faulty. This has led to changing the firmware to version 1.41.01 as this is the only version that will work with 3rd party batteries.

You can see traces of daily use on the screen glass only when you hold the device up to the light. One of the decorative squares under the down arrow key has fallen off. It is not easily noticeable anyway.
