Jet needles and mix tube are competent to regulate the mix in this area. Venturi Tubes Together with the jet needle, the Venturi tube is responsible for partial load regulation. If the adjustment is too rich (engine and throttle valves stutter) and the jet needle is already in the lowest slot, then its time for a small Venturi tube. The rule applies here as well: the higher the number, the fatter the Rubè Venturi. In the partial load range with a barely open throttle slide the engine should not purr stutter.
