    The case shows a silver case marked with both the Dennison Watch Case Co. and A·L·D sponsor's mark. It has the anchor town mark of the Birmingham Assay Office, the lion passant (the walking lion) indicating the fineness of the silver as sterling, and the date letter "q" for the Birmingham Assay Office hallmarking year of 1915 to 1916.
