Place the Chair Glides on the floor. Slowly apply downwards pressure on the chair until the ball end is inserted into the Glide. If the fit is tight, slowly move the chair side to side to work the ball in the socket.

Eames DSW dowel based chair made by Herman Miller dating from the late 50s or early 60s. Elephant hide grey original fiberglass shell mounted on shock mounts with a mid colour (oak?) base. Original Herman Miller stamp on shell. The original fibreglass shells feel more authentic than the modern polypropylene versions. Ok condition (given its age) there are splits on the back of the fibreglass as shown - please check all the photos carefully so there are no surprises. One of the shock mounts is also squashed a bit as shown. Marks on the legs too. A nice restoration project or for someone who likes the patina of a beautiful chairs that’s c.70 years old!

Beautiful dining room chair designed by Charles Eames for Herman Miller, originally from the 1960s in a stylish mid-century modern design. The H-Base frame is original from the time. The seat shell is made of old white-beige fiberglass with the inimitable structure and is original from Herman Miller from the 60s and 70s. The cushions are also original, but should be reupholstered and perhaps the upholstery should also be replaced. The chair is in a used, good vintage condition considering its age. Signs of wear and tear have not been absent over the decades. Please note that the furniture is original from the 50s to 70s. Therefore, please do not expect new furniture; superficial signs of wear are to be considered normal. We try to describe all noticeable signs of wear and tear and peculiar.
