A large Victorian majolica jug with moulded water lilies and hand painted decoration; unmarked, it is often attributed to Samuel Lear but an almost identical version was also produced by Wardle & Co., probably dating to the 1880s.

The jug sits nicely inside the bowl. There is one small chip on the underside of the jug, which obviously cannot be seen unless it is turned over. They were bought in a brocante near to Niort in the South West region of France.

This is a charming vintage, possibly antique, earthenware jug form posy vase. It is unmarked but is probably English. The vase has a blue and white floral patterned bowl with cream coloured interior and base. The handle and scalloped rim are painted silver. In good sound condition with no chips or cracks. There is rubbing to the silvering on the rim and handle. Please see photos. Measures approx 2.4" high and 3.2" in diameter excluding the handle.
