All the plates have bevelled edges and 3 ply construction, except for the single ply Black but even this is as thick as the 3 ply versions. Points to consider when choosing a Tortoiseshell plate; generally if the your guitar body is light in colour e.g Olympic White then a darker Tortoiseshell works well.
