No back panel. There is plenty of room in the truss rod. Currently it is slightly bowed forward. With normal string height, there is no choking or buzzing. There are few dents in the frets and they are in good condition.

Beautiful guitar that not only looks great it sounds great too. A stunning stage guitar that benefits from some upgrades, notably a set of roller saddles that really keep it in tune well. It also benefits from a complete new set of electronics namely upgraded pots a new 5-way switch and a set of cloth wired Texas Specials style pickups that really bring this guitar alive. On the downside, there is a small amount of routing 'under the hood' which though not ideal, is what it is and in any case it's not visible and the price more than reflects this unfortunate action by the previous owner. A great guitar at a great price.
