This is a 1996 fender Tex Mex Stratocaster with a maple board, this guitar was the predecessor to the Jimmy Vaughan Strat, this guitar was only built between 1996 & 1997. This guitar is in excellent condition for 29 years old. Comes with gigbag. The 1996 Fender Tex-Mex Stratocaster was a popular Made-in-Mexico (MIM) model, especially notable as the Jimmie Vaughan Signature Strat, offering a classic '50s vibe with hotter, bluesy Tex-Mex pickups and a comfortable 'V' neck, available in finishes like Sunburst or Sonic Blue, and known for being a great value, albeit with basic electronics some found nasal but perfect for overdrive blues. It was part of a short-lived series (around 1996-1997)

To finish installation simply remove your old guard, solder the hot and circuit ground from the new kit to the existing output jack and solder the trem claw ground wire and screw in the electronics cavity ground wire and that's it, mount the new guard and you're ready to rock with pure Fender sound.
