    Subject: A delightful artist-drawn illustration of a Finnish Christmas gnome or 'tonttu' with a mailbag, climbing a ladder against a snowy backdrop. The greeting reads "Hauskaa Joulua". Era: c. 1948 (based on the attached Christmas seal). Publisher: Unidentified (logo appears to be 'PR'). Card number N:o C 4648/20. Printing Method: Lithograph. Features: Features an uncancelled 7 markkaa Suomi stamp and a 1948 Finnish Christmas seal depicting Santa Claus. Addressed to Guildford, Surrey, England, with a Christmas message from "Vokko" in Finland. Condition Notes: Not postally used; the stamps are uncancelled and there is no postmark. The card has a handwritten message and address. Condition is good with sharp corners and only very minor age toning. Please see photos for details.

Postal Use: Postally used from Helsinki to Nottingham, England. The message mentions flying from Croydon and travels to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo. Condition Notes: Good condition for its age. Minor corner bumping and light edge wear. A few faint surface marks. Postmark ink is lightly visible on the front. Reverse is clean with a clear postmark, stamps, and legible handwriting.
