Antique Georgian Heavy Brass Box Range Fender – Fire Hearth Kerb - Victorian. A superb antique Georgian heavy brass box fender, dating from early to mid 19th century. This large and chunky fender would have originally surrounded the hearth of a kitchen or range fireplace.

Constructed from cast iron with a pierced balustrade style gallery and shaped curved ends. The base has a raised plinth style foot running along the length. The surface shows traces of original paint and gilt style detailing to the pierced section, now heavily worn with age.

A set of tongs are in two pieces, they need a new pin/rivet. Otherwise all in good used/antique condition. The fire dogs are each 68cm high, 62cm long and 35cm wide. The fender is 123cm long, 19cm deep and 22cm high.
