There is a surface split by the right hand corbel (when looking at the surround). There is a notch on the crossbar. The fixing tabs have surface rust and you may wish to replace them. The fire surround is of a good size and has a nice period design.

The surround is of a nice size and has a very pretty appearance with reeding along the crossbar and a panel with scrolling, leaves and a flower. There are decorative corbels with leaves and pretty designs at the top of the legs and the legs have decorative designs in relief.
