This is a vintage Henry Hughes & Son Sextant from the 1940s. The primary material is metal and the unit type is a unit. It was used by the Marina Militare during WWII and was made in the United Kingdom. The sextant is an original vintage piece and the unit quantity is one. The maker of the sextant is H HUGHES. This model has a light and a switch a battery in the handle for night time reading. In great condition and the box has a key.

The sextant does work good. There are some light scratches on the set but not to bad at all. We are unsure if that lever in picture 15 and 16 if it goes with the sextant or not. It was in the bottom of the box. But nothing looks to be missing from the sextant. Some of the glue on the one filter lenses is peeling out some as picture 19 tries to show. But the lense is still tightly attached. The plastic cover on the bottom top of the lid that holds the paper to the wood is loose on 3 corners. The box is 13"x11 1/4"x6 3/8".
