I personally hate furniture that has been 'upcycled' to the point that the original piece is unrecognisable! But again this is down to the new owners preference. The table has been in our family since the mid 1980's and was bought from a Jewish lady in Edgware who bought it new in around the mid 1970's. The table was our main dining table in our house until the early 2010's when we had the kitchen refurbished. and we no longer needed such a large rectangular table anymore.
