Gibson Pickup sounds great and overall item is in good condition. The tortoise shell-like fret board is beautiful but is arched and coming up from the guitar near the upper frets. You can push it down with your finger and make it flat.

Here for sale 1949 Gibson BR-9 Lap Steel. This model was made in the late 40s or early 50s. It boasts the original P-90 pickup with non-adjustable alnico slugs! It produces an array of bold and sparking tones, with a distinctive midrange bite and sweet treble sparkle.

Completely original pickup, undisturbed coil, solder has been reflowed or re done at some point. Some cracking in the top plate as shown in the pictures but is still solid. Wide spaced pole pieces , measurement in the photos. Reads 9.16-7 on my multimeter -which could do with calibration so 9ish….- Either way this is a hot vintage P90. Probably from a post 1951 Gibson B9 but I don’t know for sure.
