From the off, I'll say this period of Les Paul Studio models provide excellent value for money when compared with contemporary models. For one, during this period Gibson were still using solid mahogany (rather than swamp ash), as they would with a 'standard' Les Paul.

2022 Gibson Les Paul Classic in Ebony. The guitar is probably what I’d call player grade and is priced accordingly. It’s been well loved by the previous owner, so has a few marks, dings and scratches, but it’s mostly just the light surface scratches that are common with ebony nitro finishes though. There’s also a couple of spots under the tuning machine washers where it looks like the nitro clear coat has lifted ever so slightly. The nickel hardware has a small amount of patina, but is in great shape otherwise . I’ve done my best to highlight all wear and blemishes in the photos so please take a good look :) Most importantly, the guitar plays beautifully and sounds just as good! Original hardcase, COA and baby photo are included :)

The neck position is warm and round, with plenty of power for pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The '57 Classic Plus in the bridge is of course brighter, perfect for rock rhythm parts and riffing because it can handle a serious amount of gain.
