This is a 1997 Gibson Super 400 CES. The neck is straight and the truss rod works fine. When you first play it, you'll be amazed at how good the vibrations are and how good the natural sound is. It's a masterpiece that will make you want to play for hours.

This particular Super 400CES is a 1961 model. While Florentine cutaways typically feature a plywood maple back, this one has a solid maple back. The all-solid wood body provides excellent picking response, and combined with its large size, produces a powerful sound.

A lovely old vintage Gibson case for an old jazz guitar perhaps a super 400 , L-5 or Byrdland ? It has a Johnny smith sticker on it but this is a 50’s case. It has some sort of light overspray but is solid , the handle is wooden. Has the Gibson badge and pink lining . Some text in the case which is hard to read . A rare case for your old Gibson . The pickguard has been replaced. The Fvol knob has a different color than the other knobs, but its shape is consistent with that era and is believed to be original. All pots have covers, making it impossible to confirm the date, but there are no signs of the covers being removed.
